A cookie is a small item of information stored or accessed on a visitor’s device. Similar technologies can include local storage, pixels, scripts and device identifiers. Under PECR, non-essential technologies generally require a clear positive consent choice before they operate.
No advertising cookies or marketing pixels are deployed.
No optional first-party analytics service is currently deployed.
The listed security cookie protects the website from malicious automated traffic.
There is no optional technology for a visitor to accept or reject.
Our current position
The public website does not currently deploy advertising cookies, behavioural profiling, marketing pixels, social-media tracking or a first-party analytics service. It therefore does not display a consent banner that offers a choice about technology which is not present.
The hosting and security layer may set the strictly necessary cookie listed below. It protects the website against malicious automated traffic and is not used by School Connection Intelligence to identify a visitor for advertising.
Why there is no consent banner today
The PECR consent requirement does not apply in the same way to storage or access that is strictly necessary to provide a service the visitor has requested. Clear information is still required, which is why this notice is published. A consent banner will be introduced if optional technology requiring a choice is added.
Future analytics and campaign technology
No optional page-tracking or email-tracking technology is activated by this public website at the effective date of this notice. Before analytics, campaign attribution, retargeting, embedded media tracking or similar technology is introduced, we will assess its purpose under PECR and UK GDPR.
Where consent is required, optional technology will remain off until the visitor makes a positive choice. Accept and reject controls will be equally accessible, purposes will be separated where needed, the choice will be recorded and withdrawal will be as easy as acceptance. This notice and the footer will then provide persistent access to cookie settings.
Browser controls and external services
You can use browser settings to inspect or delete cookies. Blocking a strictly necessary security cookie may cause requests to be challenged or the site to work less reliably.
Links to School Connection, official sources and other external websites open services with their own cookies and privacy practices. Their technology is not controlled by this notice.
